YOUR NATURAL HAIR
AND LOC'S ARE BEAUTIFAL! ! WE ARE EXCITED TO HAVE YOU APART OF THE FAMILY!.. ADVICE, ADVICE, ADVICE
WILL HELP YOU ON MAINTAINING, TREATING, STYLING AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF FOR YOUR HAIR.. YOUR LOCS
SHOULD BE FULL OF LIFE AND WE'RE HERE TO HELP!
TAKING CARE OF YOUR HAIR
WASHING: I RECOMMEND WASHING HAIR AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 3-4 WEEKS (THATS ALSO DEPENDING
ON THE DAILY ACTIVITY). YOU WANT TO USE A SHAMPOO THTS GOING TO CLEANSE HAIR WITH OUT LEAVING RESIDUE
IN YOUR LOCS. (I.E. 100% ALOE SHAMPOO) IF LOCS ARE VERY DIRTY YOU MAY WANT TO "DETOX"
YOUR HAIR BEFORE WASHING. ASK YOUR STYLIST ABOUT THIS SERVICE! CONDITIONING: YOU MUST CONDITION YOUR HAIR! ! !
ITS THE SOLUTION FOR THE DRYNESS OF YOUR LOCS. YOUR CONDITIONER WILL ADD MOISTURE TO HAIR, KEEP YOUR LOCS FROM BREAKING
OVER TIME. APPLY CONDITIONER AND LET SIT FOR 3-5 MINS IS FINE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A DEEP CONDITIONER LET SIT IN
HAIR FOR 15 MINS AND APPLY HEAT, THAT WILL DO IT! FOR COLORED LOCS A DEEP CONDITIONER IS A MUST! ! ! ! YOU WILL SEE YOUR COLOR
LASTING LONGER, YOUR LOCS WILL FEEL LIGHTER, AND ALSO YOU WILL BE MINIMIZING THE BREAKAGE (DAMAGE) FROM THE COLORING PROCESS.
TWISTING: WHEN TWISTING YOUR HAIR YOU OR YOUR STYLIST
CAN DECIDE WHICH METHOD IS BEST. I PREFER MY OWN 3-FINGER METHOD ROLL. THERES ALSO THE LATCH-HOOK METHOD, PALM
ROLLING METHOD AND THE COMB TIGHTENING METHOD. EACH METHOD DEPENDS ON THE LENGTH AND TEXTURE OF THE HAIR. YOU
WANT TO USE A MORE GEL OR CREAM BASED PRODUCT WHILE TWISTING INSTEAD OF A WAX BASED PRODUCT BECAUSE THE WAX HOLDS
DIRT AND WILL CAUSE BUILD-UP ON AND IN THE HAIR. A GOOD START OFF PRODUCT IS TWIST-N-LOC (HONEY / ALOE FORMULA).
PUT A SMALL AMOUNT OF LOCKING GEL ON
THE UNTWISTED HAIR YOU ARE ABOUT TO TWIST. TWIST CLOCKWISE UNTIL ALL UNTWISTED HAIR IS TWISTED DOWN PLACE A DUCK CLIP TO HOLD IN PLACE ONCE ALL LOCS ARE TIGHTEN APPLY HEAT TO DRY
HAIR EITHER BY A BLOW DYER OR A HOODED DRYER FOR 15-20 MINS ( LONGER IF NEEDED). ONCE DRIED STYLE AS DESIRED!
STYLING: LET YOUR IMAGINATION GO!!!!!. LOCS CAN BE STYLED IN KNOTS,
MOHAWK, BRAIDED, CLASSIC, CRINKLED JUST TO NAME A FEW. I'LL LEAVE THE REST TO YOU!!!!!!!

Considering locs? Purebelle' specializes in cultivating long, lush, healthy locs. Hairlocking
is a process that occurs when tightly coiled or spiraled hair develops in its natural state, without combing or the use of
chemicals. We offer several options for starting locs including Comb Twists, Two Strand Twists and Interlocking.
A consultation with a stylist will help you to identify which method is right for you.
For shorter lengths (4" or less), we recommend
the Comb Twist method. Comb Twists are small cylindrical shaped
curls formed using a barber comb in a diagonal or bricklayer pattern. The initial installation takes approximately 2 hours.
For maintenance, we suggest clients schedule appointments every 3-4 weeks. We use the Palm Roll Method, a technique of rolling
each individual section to encourage uniform growth.
For longer lengths
(5" or more) and Loc Resistant Hair (straighter textures) we recommend the Two Strand Twist and Interlocking Methods. Two Strand
Twists are two sections of hair double twisted to form a consistent rope like pattern. Interlocking is a process using a crochet
hook where the lock is woven into itself. The initial installation of these styles can last up to 8 weeks before a maintenance
appointment is required. Thereafter, clients are urged to schedule regular maintenance appointments every 4-6 weeks. Many
clients opt for these two methods over the Comb Twist Method because the required maintenance is less and with the Interlocking
Method, hair can be shampooed without disturbing the maintenance.
We also offer loc extensions. Loc extensions
are ideal for individuals who desire to have instant locs. Loc Extensions are a braided or twisted base that is attached to
hair and cylindrically wrapped using human hair. This process takes several hours to complete and is recommended
for clients who wish to grow out their natural locs using this method. In other words, we do not recommend loc extensions
for individuals who desire to wear them for a short while. Loc Extensions are also great for clients with mature locs that
need repair and/or lengthening.

Clients must schedule a consultation appointment with a stylist at least 30 minutes prior to arrival
time. Consultations are scheduled for one guest per consultation and are complimentary for our clients. During
your consultation the following will be discussed: estimmated styling time, ty We understand that each client is different and has different needs. We take into consideration that every hairstyle
is not for every hair condition. Some styles can be damaging depending on the condition of your hair, scalp or hairline. A
consultation is a very important opportunity to freely express your concerns, ask questions and fully understand the services
available. This is also a valuable time for your stylist to actually see your hair, scalp, and hairline and learn more about
you and your lifestyle.
To fully evaluate your hair condition, your hair must be free of any extensions and should
be in its natural state (i.e. not flat ironed or pressed). Certain natural hair extension styles can be performed on chemically
processed hair so contact the salon to find out more specific consultation information. Your stylist will help you choose
a style that looks great and offers the maximum benefits for you. For more information, or to find out about our available
times, please call 904*386*0801
